CBSE CTET 2012:Notification Elligibility and Online Application at www.ctet.nic.in



The Biggest News of 2011 for all those candidates who would like to make a career in Teaching sector came today when Ministry of Human Resource Development has issued the Notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test-2012.Here are some of the main points that you must under go before you apply for CTET-2012

What is CTET Exam? 

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility test.It is common entrance test that is conducted by CBSE for the recruitment of Teachers for Class Ist to Class 8th.This exam is conducted in accordance with the Right to Education (RTE) Act vide Notification No.29th July 2011 that states minimum educational Qualification for a person to be appointed as a teacher.The First ever CTET exam was conducted last year on 26th June 2011.In 2011 approximately 80 Lakh students have applied for the exam and out of which 97000 were declared successful.

CTET exam is applicable for getting the job in Central government Schools (such as Kendriya Vidhalaya and Navodaya Vidhalaya).There is also an ecpectation this the score of this test may be used by Private Schools and Schools under the State Governments

Important Dates for CTET 2012:

Date of Sale of Application Form : 5th Novmber 2011 to 25 th November 2011

Starting Date of Online Application: 01.11.2011

Last Date of Online Application: 25.11.2011

Last Date of receiving application by CBSE: 30.11.2011 (Online as well as Offline)
Date of CTET Exam 2012 is : 29.01.2012

CTET 2012 Eligibility: To be eligible for CTET 2012 Exam you must possess the following educational qualifications.

For Classes -Ist to 5th:

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent) OR
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002 OR
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4–year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent)

Minimum Qualifications for teaching Classes VI-VIII:
 
B.A. /B.Sc and passed or appearing in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education* (or its equivalent) OR
 
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1–year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)* OR
 
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1–year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)*, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4–year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)* OR
 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4–year BA/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.)* OR
 
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1–year B.Ed. (Special Education)*

Application form: The Application form for CTET 2012 can be obtained from designated branches of Syndicate bank in the Advertisement against the payment of Rs 500/- (For Gen and OBC)  and Rs 250/- for (Reserved Category)

Procedure for applying: There are two modes for applying for the CTET 2012. ie Offline Mode as well as Online Mode

Offline Mode: In Offline mode,candidates can purchase the application form from designated branches of Syndicate bank again the prescribed payment and then sent the Application form by registered post to address mentioned below before 30.11.2011:

Online Mode: In Online mode candidates can fill the Online application at the Boards Official website such as : www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in.In Online mode the application fees can either be submitted using credit or Debit Card or a Demand Draft favouring Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.After filling the Online application form the System will generate an application form that must be sent at the above mentioned address through registered post before the last date i.e 30.11.2011
