Indian Railways is conducting recruitment from time to time for the recruitment of personnel for various posts This time Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications for the recruitment of APL ie Assistant Loco Pilots in Indian Railways from the Eligible India Citizens.

Age Limit: Min:18 years,Max:30 years (Age Limit As on 01.01.2012)
Number of Vacancies: 16595
Pay Scale:Rs. 5200-20200/- + GP Rs. 1900/-
Educational Qualifications:Candidates desirous for Applying Assistant Loco Pilot post in Indian Railways must specify the following Educational Qualifications.
Matriculation or its Equivalent Qualification under 10+2 System
OR
I.T.I. in any of the specific trades recognized by SCVT/NCVT (Fitter, Electrician, Instrumentation Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & T.V., Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & A.C. Mechanic)
OR
Diploma in Electronic,Mechanical,Electrical and Automobile Engineering by AICTE Approved institution
Selection Process: The Selection Process for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot in Indian Railways shall consist of Written test then followed by Aptitude test and document verification.
Application fees:An application fees of Rs 40 have to be paid through Crossed Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order (DD/IPO) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Chairman/Member Secretary/ Dy. Secretary/Secretary /Assistant Secretary of Concerned Railway Recruitment Board”.
Procedure for Applying: Interested candidates can apply Online at the official website of concerned RRB.After the Application is submitted,candidates must take print out of the Application form and send it to concerned RRB Office,for details check the advertisement
There is another procedure for candidates who don't wish to fill online form.Those Candidates can fill the prescribed form and send it to the concerned RRB Office along with the Application fee receipt and the documents.the Envelope will be marked as "Application for the Post of Assistant Loco Pilot Category No.1 & Employment Notice No. & Community (Caste)."
