Union bank of India has recently announced its "Recruitment Project -2010" for the recruitment of 1922 officers in various pay-scales including the 1165 Probationary Officers.

Eligibility:
I) For the Post of Probationary Officer:
Educational Qualification:
# Graduate in any Discipline or its Equivalent with minimum 55% marks(50 % for Reserved Candidates) with Diploma in Banking and Finance form IIFB(Not Compulsory,but Preferable).
# Must have a Certificate in Computer Awareness from a training institute with a minimum duration of 60 hours.(Not needed for Candidates From Computer Background at UG and PG level)
#Age Limit: 21-30 years as on 31.10.2010 (General) .Upper age limit relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/others(Check Advertisement)
II) For the Post of Assistant Manager(Marketing):
Educational Qualification:

# B.Sc. / B. Tech. Degree in Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering with 50% marks in the aggregate in the final year of Graduation (45% marks for Reserved Category)
OR
#M.Sc. / M. Tech. Degree with 50% marks in the aggregate in the final year of Graduation (45% marks for Reserved Category) in the field of Agriculture / Agricultural Science / Agricultural Engineering / Agronomy / Agri-Marketing & Cooperation / Forestry / Horticulture / Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science / Pisciculture, from a AICTE Accredited institution
# Must have a Certificate in Computer Awareness from a training institute with a minimum duration of 60 hours.(Not needed for Candidates From Computer Background at UG and PG level)

# Experience of One year.
Selection Process:
I)Probationary Officer:The Selection process for Po consists of Written test and Interview.The Written test consists of an Objective type test of (135 minutes) that contains sections like Reasoning,Numerical Ability,General Awareness and English.the Objective test is followed be a Descriptive test.Besides this test, there is an additional test of "Computer Knowledge" that contains 50 Questions covering 50 marks to be completed in a duration of 30 minutes.
# Negative mark would be given for every wrong answer and candidates have to score minimum 40% marks in each paper
Based on the candidates performance in the Written test,only those candidates who score preferably higher in the written test will be called for the Interview.As the number of vacancies is 1165,approx. 3400 candidates in the ratio of (1:3) will be called for the Interview.

Application Form:
The Application form for recruitment of PO and other Specialist Officers in Union Bank of India can be downloaded from banks Website.Candidates must download the Deposit Receipt(Challan Form or Application form) and take its Print out.The Application form must be duly filled and should be deposited at the designated branches of Union Bank of India anywhere in the country.
After the Application form is deposited,Candidates are given a receipt by the bank on which Transaction ID and Branch Code are given.The above information is used at the time of Submitting Online Application. After that candidates can log on to Union Bank of India Website and Apply ONLINE.After the Submission is Complete, a Registration Number and Password is Given to candidates that should be retained for future,in case you have to apply for duplicate Roll number
